OpenClassic is an extendable version of the original CastleMiner Z that implements bugfixes, an anticheat, a modding framework, and several other helpful features. OpenClassic significantly improves the security and stability of the original game, making it playable today.
CMZ: exP4NDED is a game modification for CastleMiner Z that updates and overhauls the game by adding entirely new content such as new weapons, blocks, mechanics, and enemies. It was made by reverse engineering the game and modifying its code directly, effectively serving as a custom update.
